The Supreme Court ruled that a wife must maintain the same standard of living during divorce proceedings as in her matrimonial home. It restored the Family Court's order directing the husband to pay ₹1,75,000 monthly as interim maintenance, rejecting the High Court’s reduced amount of ₹80,000.
